PFA celebrating 3 year anniversary

Since its inception 3 years ago, Professional Funeral Alliance began with the concept of bringing full service accounting with cloud based technology to all its clients. Using the most technologically advanced software allows PFA to provide cutting-edge products and services and accelerate the timeliness of reporting and filing. This driving force is what allows PFA to be a nationwide accounting firm to the Funeral Home Industry for the past three years. Serving over 180 locations across the United States, PFA provides accounting, tax planning and preparation, payroll accounting, financial analysis, business valuations, succession & estate planning and other consulting services. In January 2014, PFA acquired Lynn & Associates, CPA’s and started their new Farm Division. This acquisition increased the size of the firm by 67% in revenue and 40% in staff.

Professional Funeral Alliance, Inc. (PFA) was formed in October 2011 by a group of individuals wanting to expand on Funeral Home accounting services. PFA was and remains a 100 percent-employee-owned company with more than 100 years of funeral industry experience. Adding the Farm and small business experience of the Lynn & Associates team allows PFA to expand their line of business to include local clients as well as nationwide. “The Payroll Division, in particular, was created due to market demand for our service” says Ryan Nowakowski, head of the Payroll Division. “Business owners are tired of dealing with large service bureaus and PFA offers a more individualized approach along with very user friendly technology. The department has really taken off this past year.”

In 2014 new divisions were created in Payroll, Consulting, and Business Valuations allowing PFA to become a leader in full service accounting. However, with any venture, starting out new can be a learning experience. With a struggling economy and businesses looking for ways to improve their bottom line, PFA has been adding new clients and growing their business at a rapid pace. “PFA’s growth in this economic environment speaks to the quality of service we provide” states Tom Flynn, Co-Owner and President of PFA.

Professional Funeral Alliance officially changed its name in June, 2014 to PFA Tax and Accounting Professionals. PFA Tax and Accounting Professionals celebrated their third anniversary with a company dinner.
